Financial Mgmt Center Transfer and Realignment from Office of Public
and Indian Housing (PIH) to Office of Housing - Mgmt proposal to transfer and realign the Financial Mgmt Center (FMC) from the Office of PIH to Housing.
Proposal is in response to outstanding Office of Inspector General (OIG) audit finding in Housing's Fiscal Yr 2006 Corrective
Action Plan. Transfer to result in more efficient operation for HUD because Housing will be able to ensure appropriate separation
of duties, standardize payment procedures and to develop a well-defined organizational structure and work flow.

Pandemic Planning and Response Guidance - March 2006 - Office of Security and Emergency Planning
published the U.S. Dept of HUD Departmental Strategy for Pandemic Influenze: Protecting Personnel and Ensuring
Continuity of Operations. The doc outlined a strategy for maintaining HUD's essential functions during a pandemic
and implementing policies to reduce the effects of a pandemic on the workforce. This takes the next step by
developing a concrete implementation plan to prepare for, and respond to, a human pandemic. See 2006 for previous pandemic bargaining.
