Union Fair Labor Standards Act Questionnaire
GS-950 Paralegal Series Hearings Soon

Union Fair Labor Standards Act Questionnaire

AFGE Council 222 is challenging the agency's misclassification of HUD employees as exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). We have reached a settlement for all positions at GS-10 and below and completed hearings on the GS-360 series. We are now preparing for hearings on the status of the GS-950 Paralegal series at HUD. FLSA status is determined by the duties performed by the employees. Testimony from employees is crucial in these arbitrations, as it is the only primary source through which the Arbitrator can define the duties performed. Snider and Associates, Counsel for the Union, has prepared a questionnaire which will be the backbone of the Union’s presentation. Please take a few minutes to accurately describe your duties so that the Union’s counsel will be able to present the most accurate picture of your job duties. Then return the completed questionnaire via email to flsa@sniderlaw.com. If you have questions, please talk with your Local President.

Thank you,

Carolyn Federoff, President
AFGE Council 222

(Help us update our email lists. If you know of a GS-950 11/12 Paralegal that didn't get this notice, forward it to them and have them send us an email.)
