E: Alert
* * Reminder * *
You may be contacted by our attorney Michael Snider asking questions about overtime you may have worked without compensation during the last two years. We have filed a nationwide grievance seeking compensation for employees in this situation who are covered (or should be covered) by the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Norman Mesewicz, Deputy Director of the Labor and Employee Relations Division in HQ has confirmed that "employees may have official time for interviews." Your supervisor should have received this information from the Labor Relations representative for your office.
To be successful in securing payment for unpaid overtime, your assistance is important. Please spend some time thinking about your overtime activity, so that if attorney Snider or one of his colleagues contacts you, you'll be prepared to discuss the matter with them. If you have further questions about the case, please contact your Local President, or go to: https://afgecouncil222.tripod.com/grievances.html.
